The Origins of the Rosen Bear

Hi all, my name is Dan, and I’m the education coach for you and your customers.

I got my start crocheting in 2013, and while I taught myself, I realized there was a gap in the market - specifically in accessible tutorials, and I mean across the board! There needed to be more support for people with cognitive, physical, visual, auditory, and learning disability (and more!)

As a lefty, it was a challenge to learn how to knit and crochet with conventional tutorials. I had to perform mental gymnastics to transpose what I saw on screen and held in my hands.

As a lefty, I understand the unique challenges we face, and I’m dedicated to creating straightforward tutorials. In my professional journey, I’ve worked as a high school biology teacher, where I focused on making science accessible and tangible for students with different academic needs. My experience working with diverse learners has helped me better understand how learning works and push myself and others to grow and produce more accessible content continually.
